About Emma

Emma is qualified BHSAI, and has been since the late 90s. Emma has been involved with horses from a young age. Her parents ran a riding school when she was a child right through her teenage years, working on the yard alongside her parents and siblings, where she did a lot of backing and producing young horses for use in the school and for competition.

Emma went on to teach and ride on a freelance basis until she opened her own riding school, which was successful for a number of years, then opportunity arose to have her own yard to run as a full livery yard, something Emma had always wanted to do.

Currently Emma is based at that very yard, as a coach and trainer/producer of youngstock and problem horses. Emma is an active riding member of the British Show Jumping, British Eventing and British Dressage and competes on a regular basis.

Emma offers several livery & lessons packages including training, competition and sales livery. Emma produces all of her own competition horses and ponies for her daughter, who she has taught and trained. Emma's daughter is now an active member of British Show Jumping, Faversham and District Riding Club, and the Pony Club, and is regularly competing with huge success.

Emma has extensive experience working with a range of problem horses, who she has successfully re-educated and returned them to their owners. Emma has a diploma in horse psychology and is in the process of studying sports psychology, which we know is very close to her heart.

Emma coaches people of all capabilities and ensures that the individuals needs are always met.  Having the further training has enabled Emma to coach her clients in a way that not only develops their skills on board the horse but helps them to maintain a positive mindset and a winning attitude when it comes to competition.

We have known Emma for many years and are extremely excited and proud she has choose to support the Hillside Brand.
